I’m from the US and at least here schools have seemed to deplete. Many teachers simply don’t care anymore. Students get passed because of their age, not their ability. My daughter was going through a trauma a couple of years ago which resulted in many missed days from school. In their opinion she was just trying to quit, refusing to go. She’s graduating this year.
