One-year old Booker West was splashing around in a birdbath at his grandparents’ house in Colorado when a rattlesnake rattled and lunged at the boy. Fortunately, five-pound Chihuahua Zoey was there and got between the snake and the boy, taking the bites for him.
It was touch and go for a while, but the heroic canine is now fully recovered.
